Wonder begins with a question.
A question about the world around us. About one another. About what’s possible. About why certain moments stay with us long after they’re over.
This season brings together artists working across genres, traditions, and disciplines, each offering a different way to experience wonder. Some performances may challenge the way you see the world. Others may simply remind you what it feels like to be fully present inside it.

Renée Fleming makes her long-awaited Memorial Hall debut with two back-to-back events
After last season’s weather-related cancellation, Renée Fleming makes her long-awaited Memorial Hall debut with two events across back-to-back nights—bringing music, wonder, and discovery into conversation.
In Voice of Nature: the Anthropocene, Fleming explores environmental change through music, imagery, and storytelling, inviting us to consider the beauty and fragility of the natural world—and our place within it.
The following evening on October 14, Music & Mind brings Fleming together with leaders from UNC’s research and medical communities to explore what science is revealing about the connections among music, the brain, and well-being. Moderated by art and culture journalist Liza Roberts, the conversation reveals how ideas crossing disciplines can create real-world impact.
We’re grateful to finally share these experiences with our community and to welcome Renée Fleming to Memorial Hall at last.

Wonder can take us in unexpected directions. Sometimes that means following a question wherever it leads. Sometimes it means stumbling across something we didn’t know we were looking for. And sometimes, before we begin exploring, we look for a few landmarks to help us get our bearings.

Students See Every CPA Performance for $11
UNC students—and all students from kindergarten through graduate school anywhere in North Carolina—can purchase tickets to CPA-presented performances for just $11.

All. Together. Now. Arts Festival
February 19–21, 2027Carolina Performing Arts will launch All. Together. Now., a new three-day arts festival unfolding across the UNC campus and downtown Chapel Hill.
Through performances, conversations, exhibitions, workshops, participatory experiences, and unexpected encounters, the festival invites audiences to move across events and discover moments of serendipity.
The full festival lineup will be revealed in mid-August. Festival day passes and single tickets for the evening performance will go on sale for all audiences in mid-September.
