Business Operations Lead

The Business Operations Lead plays a critical role in the organization’s business activities by leading financial accounting and processing for accounts payable and accounts receivable, contributing to budget reconciliation and reporting, and supporting overall business operations. This position will be expected to display superior technical knowledge in accounting processes, procedures, and system operations to ensure supported departments follow all relevant campus, state, federal and other agency policies in relation to finance. They will serve as a knowledgeable resource, subject matter expert, and valued collaborator for colleagues across the organization. They will also cultivate and maintain strong relationships with administrative service units across UNC who support accounting services, procurement, and other business operations. Producing Coordinators (3)

Producing Coordinators provide critical planning, coordination, and implementation support for Carolina Performing Arts as the organization presents and produces performances, artist residencies, festivals, new works in development, academic engagement, and community collaborations. These positions report to the Assistant Director of Artistic Operations and are responsible for three primary domains of work: project management, event management, and administration. Producing Coordinators lead and provide support for project teams made up of cross-functional staff and will be responsible for managing team workflow, productivity, and goals. They also serve as hands-on hosts and provide onsite event management support for all CPA-produced events, serving as a critical link between CPA and guest artists/collaborators to ensure the highest quality of service and care for the artist and their team.

Lighting Lead

The Lighting Lead is a member of the Production team and is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and managing lighting operations for consecutive events across a high-volume annual schedule in CPA’s venues. This position oversees the lighting department, supervises set-up and operation of lighting equipment, trains and supervises CPA student staff, and maintains lighting equipment and systems. They will develop and apply a nuanced understanding of technical processes, ensure complex systems and tasks are planned and queued in a logical order, and assign and direct appropriately skilled student staff in workflow execution. This position will delegate and oversee one or more student teams to accomplish simultaneous workflows. The Lighting Lead may also work show calls as needed for CPA performances as well as for events hosted by student groups, campus departments, and community groups in our venues.
