Assistant Director, Budget & Business Strategy

The Assistant Director, Budget & Business Strategy (AD) is responsible for overall budget management and business strategy for the Office of the Executive Director for the Arts, as well as the unique budgeting needs and business activities of each distinct program within in the unit. They work closely with the Executive and Artistic Director, CPA’s Associate Director and AE’s Associate Director, and department directors across the unit to drive business strategy that ensures sustainable growth and sufficient resources to deliver on each program’s mission and strategic goals. This position serves as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor for unit leadership with broad knowledge of accounting, budget, and business practices. They also maintain full responsibility for setting, reconciling, and reporting on the unit’s $7,000,000+ annual budget comprised of complex fund sources. This position reports to the Associate Director of Carolina Performing Arts and leads the Business Office team in the development and continuous improvement of systems, processes, procedures, and best practices that drive effective business operations. Ticketing Services Manager

The Ticketing Services Manager is directly responsible for the daily operations and staffing of the Carolina Performing Arts Box Office. This position will serve as front-line manager overseeing the sale of tickets for approximately 150 events per year in Memorial Hall, CURRENT ArtSpace + Studio, Gerrard Hall, Historic Playmakers Theater, and Moeser Auditorium. Events include live experiences and digital presentations, as well as campus and community rental events. The Ticketing Services Manager supervises a team of part-time student sales staff during daytime Box Office operating hours as well as during events, which may include evenings and weekends. Reporting to the Associate Director of Revenue & Ticketing, this position lives within the Marketing & Communications team and requires close collaboration with audience services (front of house), the business office, artistic, development, and production departments, as well as frequent communications with a variety of UNC campus units. This role is highly visible and will ensure a hospitable, smooth, and efficient patron experience that directly contributes to the reputation of Carolina Performing Arts and UNC Chapel Hill.
