Financial Operations Lead
The Financial Operations Lead plays a critical role in the Executive Director for the Arts’ business activities as a member of the Business Office team and reports to the Assistant Director, Budget & Business Strategy. This position leads financial accounting and processing for accounts payable and accounts receivable, contributes to budget reconciliation and reporting, and supports overall business operations for the unit. They are the primary processor for program expenses that vary year to year. They must be comfortable and effective operating in a fast-paced environment and independently handling a high volume of complex transactions, paperwork, and customer service requests while meeting multiple monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines. This position supports effective account management by evaluating allowable expenses and ensuring all financial activities remain in compliance with applicable guidelines. The Financial Operations Lead is expected to serve as a consultant, subject matter expert, and valued collaborator for colleagues across the organization.

Director of External Affairs
The Director of External Affairs (DEA) leads an integrated strategic external affairs vision for Carolina Performing Arts that expands awareness of our impact and priorities across a broad community of stakeholders, develops audiences who are effectively welcomed into and engaged with our offerings, and maximizes philanthropic and earned revenues. Reporting to and partnering with the Executive & Artistic Director, the DEA is a member of the leadership team and works in close partnership with the other department directors to guide CPA’s strategic direction. They participate in long-range strategic planning and ensure that fundraising, communications, and audience development strategies align with and maximize broad-based support for existing needs and growth plans. The Director of External Affairs is a seasoned relationship steward, a gifted impact storyteller, and a coalition-building leader who can motivate a large and diverse team of professionals to devise successful capital, annual fundraising, marketing, communications, and audience development programs. This position oversees daily administration of all operations across the development and marketing/communications functions.
