Interviews for fall positions are held at the beginning of the fall semester, and hiring concludes in the first week of classes. Candidates not hired during this period may be considered for spring employment if additional positions become available; otherwise, you should reapply beginning in January for consideration in the following academic year.

Front of House

Front of House staff are responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming, safe environment for all guests, including greeting patrons, tracking attendance, assisting with any customer service or wayfinding needs, ensuring the safety of guests throughout the event and doing minor setup and cleanup of event spaces. Position may require standing for long periods of time and could include lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds.

Scheduled hours will primarily fall on nights and weekends but will vary widely week to week in accordance with the event schedule. Employees must be available for a minimum of 10 hours/week.

Production

No prior experience necessary! Receive comprehensive on-the-job training in the technical and logistical aspects of live production such as lighting, audio, staging, and backstage management. Duties include but are not limited to clearing and prepping the performance area, setting up and testing audio, lighting, and staging equipment, as well as making sure we are show ready. Whether you are scheduled to setup, operate, or tear down an event, you will have the opportunity to advance in both technical expertise and leadership. Must be comfortable climbing ladders, working at height, and lifting and carrying 40 pounds.

Production shifts can range anywhere between 2-10+ hours between 6:00am and 2:00am. Availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week with a focus on daytime Tuesday through Thursday preferred.

Ticketing Services

Box Office Associates provide best-in-class customer service to everyone who encounters CPA Ticketing Services. Box Office Associates interact courteously and efficiently with patrons in person and over the phone; operate CPA’s ticketing software to process ticketing transactions and manage customer records; and support their teammates in helping the box office run smoothly.
The CPA Memorial Hall Box Office is open Mon-Fri, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Associates must be available to work in the box office at least nine hours per week over multiple days during our weekly hours of operation. Associates should also plan to be available to work several 2-3 hour performance rush shifts, often on evenings and weekends, over the course of the CPA season (September 2025-May 2026).
