
Dance Masterclass with Bobbi Jene Smith
Join us for a virtual dance masterclass in the Gaga movement language taught by Bobbi Jene Smith, former Batsheva Dance Company member.
This class will include an hour of instruction followed by a 15-minute Q&A. It is free and open to the public, but space is very limited. All attendees are required to participate. Recording (film/audio/photo) of the class is prohibited. Registered attendees will receive a Zoom link via email prior to the class.

About Bobbi Jene Smith
A North Carolina School of the Arts alumna, Bobbi Jene Smith danced with renowned Batsheva Dance Company for a decade before leaving to pursue a solo career in dance and choreography. She is a registered teacher of Gaga, a movement language that raises physical awareness by focusing on the rhythm of dancers’ bodies, emphasizing autonomous movement and the pleasure that movement brings.
Smith performed at Carolina Performing Arts in the 18/19 season, dancing alongside Shamel Pitts in their double feature Black Velvet: Architectures and Archetypes and Bobbi Jene Smith: A Study on Effort at CURRENT ArtSpace + Studio.
