New subscriptions to the 2010/11 Carolina Performing Arts season will be on sale to the public beginning Monday, June 7 at 10 AM.

This year, Carolina Performing Arts is offering two new series — World Theater and World Music — in addition to its five standard series: Classical Ensembles, Classical Recitals, Jazz, Experimental and American Roots.

Also on June 7, tickets to Yo-Yo Ma's August 17 performance will go on sale to the general public. The performance features Ma with the Silk Road Ensemble.

If you purchase a susbcription, you can also purchase tickets to Special Events in the 2010/11 season, including Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Carolina Ballet's Nutcracker, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, and Branford Marsalis with the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra.
